You are now welcome to download my revised debut album from 2005. Between 1992 and 2004, I wrote and recorded my debut album 'Widowmakers Highway'. Being mostly self funded it took a lot of hard work (both at music related and other day jobs) to record it. I was learning my craft along the way and developing my composing abilities.
When the time came to master the tracks they were ruined by a botched mastering job and persuaded against my better judgment, the album was released. However, it always annoyed me that I had been forced into releasing an album that was not mixed and badly mastered, so between that and other issues, I decided to pull the album from online sales. If you see it for sale anywhere online, it is not me selling it and any profit will not go to me. Do not buy it when you can get the unmixed and unmastered tracks for free right here and enjoy them more.
What you will hear is the raw and unmixed versions of the tracks - before any production. The Widowmakers Highway album, excluding Silk Road and Spooky, was recorded on a 2002 Fujitsu 40GB computer with a soundblaster soundcard running Cakewalk 9 software that hilariously only functioned in mono. So pretty primitive stuff! There are two tracks missing here that are on the original album - those two are so badly distorted in sections that they have been replaced by Spooky & The Silk Road.
This version of my debut album is the only one of which I approve and is closer to how it should have sounded. Enjoy!
